The Mountains

 

This is "The Mountains".

Our painting for Watercolour Wednesday which is Christmas Day! We painted using the tutorial found here.

I opted for some deep colours of blue, using Phthalo Blues using the green and red shades which gives this darker colour.

I added the stream running through using the same colours but watered down quite a bit and also added in some Cerulean Blue.

I finished with adding Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof watercolour white to sit on the branches of the trees like little pieces of cotton are caught then added a fair bit of splatter.
