Meet "Watercolour Snowman Greeting".
This card I painted for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. We watched a video by Ellen Crimi-Trent which I found full of great information.
I did not really follow the colours that Ellen used, but they are close enough I think. I have used Daniel Smith watercolours to paint with my background done in Indigo.
I then watered down the Indigo and painted in the shading details. I used Payne's Gray for the buttons, eyes and his hat along with the twig arms and the pattern on the scarf. Oh, and his mouth.
I painted his nose outlining in Payne's Gray and painted using Cadmium Orange.
The scarf and band on the hat are done using Deep Scarlett. To finish I added splatters with Winsor Newton Designers Gouache. As you can see I used a lot of Gouache, I was having too much fun!
Thank you for joining me today.
