Blooming Hello

This is "Blooming Hello".

It is from the December 2024 small die of the month Club membership. As I have mentioned previously these were held up due to the postal strike here in Canada.

My cardbase in Gina K Designs Chocolate Truffle. I did not add any layers as the card design itself would add layers in different heights. I did however add splatters of gold watercolour to the card front.

What I mean by this is that the "H" itself is three (3) layers. The pink bloom on the left is five (5) layers, yet the blue flowers are one (1) layer.

For colour I wanted a bold golden colour. I tried several different Copic markers, until I found my choice being Y38 underpainted with BV00. This colour can also be achieved using  YR24, YR21 and YR20.

The other Copic colours I used are RV11, RV13. RV14, RV17,BV13, G05, G09 and 100.

I follow Amy Shulte whom has taught everything one needs to know about colours and Copic makers. A great resource by Amy can be found here.

Moving to my card inside I added a few layers here along with a sentiment that I made using older stamps, one being a fancy lettering alphabet set.

I added an extra layer of the brown cardstock, which I painted around the edges with gold watercolour paint.

I then added a layer of white cardstock and stamped the inside sentiment using stamps from my stash.

Thank you for visiting with me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card and the process.

See you next time.
