Heart of Hearts

 

I have not used my watercolour journal for some time. It is a beautiful journal handmade, but not by me! I decided I wanted to do the above watercolour, which is the third watercolour shown on the video. 

I like the play with the hearts, and to me it is beautifully clean and simple.

To paint I am using Daniel Smith watercolours in different shades of pink with a touch of red and green leaves. I used Opera Pink, Rodonite Genuine, Quinacridone Pink and Carmine.

 I also added a pen line using a black pen, and the leaves I painted in using Green Apelite Genuine and a bit of Sepia.

I need to remember this idea as I think it is a great watercolour for a guy. So I will keep it for next year as I am done all my cards for the current year.
