I have painted these Poppies for the Watercolour Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. I am once again painting in my watercolour journal, which I have been enjoying.
I kept my Poppies very loose for this painting using only three colours, being Daniel Smith watercolours in Green Apatite Genuine, Cadmium Orange Hue and Payne's Grey. The splatters are done using the Cadmium Orange Hue.
The stems I drew in using a black micron pen which I did after I added the pods which I painted using the Green Apatite Genuine watercolour.
I enjoyed painting this, something very different to tackle.
Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you enjoyed this painting as I very much enjoyed painting this.
See you next time.
