Valentine Cheers

Meet "Valentine Cheers".

This die is made by Spellbinders and is called "Love on the Rocks". I really liked that it is very different from the norm that we get for Valentine's Day and it has loads of possibilities.

I die cut the glass using gold mirror cardstock. I then added the rest of the details using black and red cardstock. I coloured the strawberry using Copic markers.

On the ice cubes I added white watercolour to the centre and bottom of the cubes representing the look when they have been in the freezer for too long! I tend to have those!

The sentiment is by Kristina Werner and called Happy Love Day. Instead of leaving the "Valentines" sentiment in the wording I changed it out for two die cut red hearts which are included in the glass set.

Although you cannot see the bottom layer in the glass, it is there done using Pinkfresh Inks in Mulberry Blush, Begonia and Peony.

The background paper I cannot remember the name of. It is black with gold flecks in it. My cardbase is Gina K Designs Black Onyx.

There are sentiments put out by Spellbinders to match this set, but as it was so close to Valentine's Day I decided to leaves it until next year.

Instead I used this die cut sentiment by Kristina Werner named as it shows. I really like this as it allowed me to easily make this for a guy friend instead of all goey gushy!

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card, I hope I have time to make another before the "day".

See you next time.
