A Trio of Flowers

 

This is "A Trio of Flowers".

To start this card I first embossed the background leaves, called Delicate Leaves by Tim Holtz (discontinued) using Neenah card stock and attached it to a pale blue card base. 

I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com where I saw this pillow, which is my Inspiration.

Using Arches cold press watercolour paper I water coloured the Floral Trio flowers using Daniel Smith water colours in several colours. 

Once I finished with the watercolouring I added white splatters and using my heat gun I dried the image completely. I then die cut the flowers using the coordinating Pinkfresh die. 

I styled the flowers moving around the die cut with my stylus to add the styling, then attached the flowers to my background using foam tape.

I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Paradise and attached it to the flowers using thin foam squares.

I left the inside of the card very simple, adding a piece of white Neenah card along with the sentiment that is part of the set which I stamped using the VersaFine Clair Paradise ink.
