Meet "Field of Florals".
As most of you know, I love colour and this card has many different colours plus it has a few things that I have not done before.
My pink card base is from Recollections, and the back piece of solid dark green is by Gina K Designs and called Christmas Pine.
First up I die cut the floral die using Neenah 110lb cardstock. I then proceeded to stencil in the colours using the stencil set. I went with the colours that were given for stenciling as I liked them and they all went together wonderfully and included colours from my flowers.
Using my Postage Edge die, second one in sizing, I die cut the window in the front of the card and added acetate which I had embossed using "Spellbinders Leafy" embossing folder. The embossing is hard to see but the last picture I took shows it.
I used two way tape to attach the acetate as it does not show up when attached. It has a nice and clean look.
I did trim the green cardstock slightly to fit inside the card as it was a bit too big when adding inside the card, and glued it in place.
When doing this type of card I still use good paper. It does make the card thicker than normal, but I swear by the look. To get a good fold I apply weights to the card while I clean up my desk.
This picture shows the embossing on the acetate - very subtle but it adds texture and interest as you can feel the difference in the acetate.
I do hope you have enjoyed this card today and thank you for your time.
See you next time.
