Meet "Its About the Boots".
This die is about the Shoes, which are from Spellbinders small die of the month club for Febraury. I finally got around to make this card, once I thought about what I wanted to do.
I decided to turn my die of the shoes into boots. Following is a picture from Spellbinders showing what the die is suppose to look like, which is not really my cup of tea.
So I changed the shoes into rubber boots and went from there.
For my boots I added lace where the legs and flowers would have been, then added the shoes over the lace. The flowers around the ankle represent anckle flowers, but the really cover the break in the design, i.e. where socks would have been.
I then covered the whole piece with Glossy Accents and let it dry for a day.
My card is 7"h x 3.5"w. For the background I embossed using Spellbinders "Tufted" embossing folder, which I have not used in a long time.
Previously I had die cut and coloured all of the flowers I wanted to use. Once I knew the placement of the boots, I placed a strip of two way tape down and attached the flowers in place.
I had a bunch of left over paper from my cuts, so I used it to make the inside of the card. Waste not, want not, as they say!
I added a few left over flowers along with Pinkfresh Gems to finish my card. It took awhile to make, but is certainly was fun to do. Thanks so much for stopping by today.
