Meet "Greenhouse Floral".
I made this card for The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. This week we are visiting Amicreative where I found this greenhouse for my Inspiration piece.
The birdcage is from Honey Bee stamps and the flowers are from different Spellbinder die sets being Spellbinders Etched Blooms, Four Petal Thank You and Little Blooms.
I coloured the flowers using Copics in RV06, RV13, RV55, R02, YR02, R85, B66, V04, V06, YG25, R08, R27 and 100.
I prepared all the flowers first, then die cut the cage. For placement I started by holding the birdcage over my Gina K Design Black Onyx cardstock then attaching the first floral.
I did the same for each corner of the cage, then did the top part of the cage and filled in the balance of the cage.
Yes, it was time consuming but I think worth the effort given the results of the finished card. Most of the flowers are on thin foam squares, while a few are glued in place with Art Glitter glue.
It is a happy card, and that makes me happy! I love it when a card works out exactly as you envisioned it would.
For the verse inside I stamped using stamps from Pinkfresh "Life is Good" stamp set, using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
I finished with a couple of leaves and a floral in the centre.
Thank you for visiting with me today. I do hope you enjoy this card.
See you next time.
