About Me

Hello there! I am Kia Gibson-Clapper, and I live in Southern Ontario Canada. I am retired and am now a full time paper crafter and blogger, which I very much enjoy.

I have been making cards since 2005. I started out with Scrapbooking but soon found that that was not for me. I moved to card making, and have never looked back. I started making cards using mostly dies at first, but with the invention of the MISTI, I became a stamper, which is now my go to preference.

I joined Splitcoaststampers, a Community of card makers and I loved it. I was amazed at the beautiful cards I saw daily, and continued to work on my craft. Lydia, the Community Manager at SCS asked me to become a part of the Dirt Pile, the Dirty Dozen, which I welcomed. I suppose one could say its a treat to be part of this talented group.

I was then offered a position on several designs teams, which included MISTI and a whole other world opened up for me.

I started attending watercolour classes a few years ago, and I still continue. I have a great teacher and a wonderful group of ladies that are part of the Wednesday Night Club.

I am presently stepping down from some of the Design Teams as I find I am looking for a change. I continue to design for Scrap’n Stamp, a Canadian Company, which I am proud to work for.
