Cake anyone? I made this card to celebrate Mary-Kay’s (A Colordul Life Designs) birthday.

I am using the Birthday Cake stencil for this card.

I first die cut a piece of Neenah card stock with my Penny Black die. I then sprayed the back of the stencl with Pixie Spray to secure the stencil in place and applied VersaMark Embossing ink to the cake layers area then sprinkled with the embossing powder. Love the look of the sparkle.

For the candles, I coloured the canles with a Purple Copic, then with the VersaMark Pen I added the embossing ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. For the flame I painted with my yellow Nuvo Aqua Flow pen and added sparkle using Nuvo Jewel Drops.

The Wishes is die cut from white glitter card stock and glued on with Nuvo glue. In my mini Misti I then stamped the “Birthday” sentiment a couple of times using Ranger ink.

An easy and fun card to make for anyone’s birthday. Thanks so much for visiting today. Following are Affiliate links at no cost to you for the products I used on this card.

  1. I’ve never eaten purple cake before, but I’m willing to try! LOL This looks fabulous – I love all of the sparkle, and purple is one of my favourite colours 🙂
