Be Like a Feather.

As you know, I love to participate with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers on Saturday’s. It is always an interesting challenge, and today with our visit to The National Audubon Society, which speaks to me.

As I went throught The Birds of North America section I came upon this bird and thought it would look great with just the feathers for their colour.

I started by masking my section using Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass using my stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I then die cut the piece with the rectangle stitched die.

In my Misti I stamped the feathers, inking with Distress Inks in Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade, spritzing with water before stamping. I did this two times to get the rich colours. I then stamped the sentiment using Ranger Cobalt ink.

To finish my card I attached my panel to my co-ordinating card base using fun foam, which gives a bit of dimension.

I hope you have enjoyed this card and wish to thank you for visiting my blog. Following are Affiliate Links to the products I used, at no cost to you, and I thank you for using these links.

  1. This is so beautiful, Kia! I love the softly stenciled background and the gorgeous feathers in rich colors. The sentiment stamped in Cobalt Blue is just perfect.
