Welcome to the Scrap’n Stamp Turnabout Blog Hop!

The fun part, we have some great cards to share, oh and there is a $50 gift certificate waiting for a winner that will randomly be chosen from those who comment on each of the designers cards. And, Concord & 9th is our brand of the month so you get 15% OFF your Concord & 9th purchases when you use the coupon code CCD15.

Each of the designer’s has a “turnabout” that they will be sharing with you for today’s hop. How fun is that?

My Misti has a warped pad, and you guessed it, I forgot to get a new one. So I had to deal with that and did so by tricking the eye.

Starting with a 6.25 x 6.25 piece of card stock and brushed on the distress ink colours. Once finished I brushed over the piece with a large blending brush.

Inside my Misti (with the warped pad) I added powder, and stamped with versamark ink, then heat embossing with white embossing powder. I did this for the 4 turns of stamping.

Using the distress inks again I did some splatter work. I did not like the dull look, so I used my watercolour palette for splatter, which I liked much better.

Trimming the piece to 5.25″ square I inked the edges in the festive berries. I then matted with red card stock on a white card base.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment, using Versa Fine Clair ink in Nocturne and Ranger Archival ink in Vermillion. For the final ending, I added a bunch of embellishments, which mimic the splatter.

Here is a short video.

Thank you for stopping by for today’s hop. Next on the hop list is Chala. I have included the links below for the hop, followed by affiliate links to the products I used today.

  6. I really think it was a great idea to put a rainbow coloured background like that & then clear embossing using the Turnabout Stamp. It doesn’t make the background look as busy as if it was stamped with all different colours. Good for you for sticking with trying another method of splatters until you liked how it looked. They, along with the embellishments look good. Thanks!
