Welcome to the July Release for Technique Junkies. I hope you enjoy it.

This is such a fun release which you will see from my cards. I certainly had fun putting together my card above. Using the background stamp called Shells and Starfish I did a Color Burst background with white heat embossing. I think it stands on its own, no need for a sentiment leaving it open to use for just about anything.

Up next is another shell card using Zen Shells background stamp, where I used my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens to colour and a bit of distress ink around the edges.

I love how this turned out with the unusual palette of colours and a beautiful sentiment that is part of a verse from another set.

It was time for a bit more fun, so I moved on to this card using the Wanna Have Sun stamp set with a Gelli Plate print for my background. I did some paper piecing with the frog and the umbrella and heat embossed using purple embossing powder.

I love the Gelli print made with A Colorful Life Stencil called Loopy Flower. The stencil reminded me of the Sun. For Arts Sake, my Sun is burning hot and turned orange. lol

And my last card is a fresh Summer Bouquet, which I water coloured using my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens.

The sentiment was first stamped in black, then heat embossed with white embossing powder. It is a gray colour and looks great IRL.

Following are the links to all those participating in today’s release. I hope you will visit and show some love.

  1. Love your new website, Kia! It must have been a lot of work for you, but it’s worth your time and effort. The site looks so professional.

  2. I’ve never tried embossing such a large image but yours has inspired me to try it. Your interpretation of the girls wanna have sun is a cute. Coloring on all is nice.
