Cool and Crisp.
It is a beautiful day here with sun and cool breezes, reminding me that fall is on the way. That makes me happy, so I did this card to celebrate, and have it up over on the Scrap’n Stamp blog as well.
Using Gina K. Designs white cardstock and my Waffle Flower Media Mat, I put down individual oxide colours and spritzed with just a bit of water, pouncing my card in the ink and allowing the ink to dry naturally. I used Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Wild Honey, Wilted Violet and Dusty Concord.
When done with the pouncing I sponged on the same inks around the card using my Life Changing Brushes.
Using an acrylic block, I stamped the leaves using the VersaFine Clair Ink, along with the Ranger Bright Tangelo and Vibrant Fuchsia, along with Majestic Violet.
Using my Holbein Spritzer I added water to the piece, and placed a piece of paper towel over it to dry off. I then added splatters of Nuvo Shimmering Midas Touch. I am loving the splattering of gold flecks this pen produces. which you can see in the close up above.
The sentiment I decided to use is from Concord and 9th Lace Leaf Set. It was easy to line up where I wanted to cut the card using the grid lines and magnets of my Make Art Stay-tion. Using black cardstock I then stamped the area three times and heat embossed using white embossing powder.
I then attached the panel pieces to either side of the sentimnt area.
