Welcome to our blog hop and giveaway.

My Sweet Petunia are hopping today with Sweet’n Sassy Stamps. I love their stamps and had fun making my cards for today.

Prizes are $50 gift certificates from each company drawn from the comments left on each of the designers blogs participating in the hop, so be sure to comment. The winner will be announced on Tuesday August 27th on the My Sweet Petunia blog.

Now, on to the cards I made for the hop today. The first card called Love You is a clean and simple design using my mini Misti and Sweet’n Sassy’s Cocoa’s Cups and Delightfully Delicate Background.

I did a simple background using distress oxide inks in Fossilized Amber and Fired Brick for the background stamp, and Copics to colour the mouse and cup.

Stamping the cup first, then masked it to stamp the background, first on my card base then on my circle die cut. After removing the mask I coloured the image and attached it to fun foam before attaching to my card base.

To finish I stamped the sentiment and added a few gumdrops.

For my second card I did a distress oxide watercolour background, then added sponging around the die cut edges. I also did splatter with the colours I used in my background along with water splatters.

Using my original Misti, I stamped off the background stems using the Fired Brick Oxide at the top and watercolour Fossilized Amber towards the bottom. I then stamped the focal stems using the VersaFine Clair ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The panel is attached to fun foam then to the gold glitter cardstock on a red card base. I finished with a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops in the flower centres of a few of the flowers.

Thank you for visiting. Next up on the hop is Stephanie Severin.

  11. I love your 2 cards! I have saved your sight so I can come back to it to know what you did and what you used for these cards! They are very stunning, and they are my kind of cards, so I need a couple of the dies that you used, like the tattered outlined one. You’ve inspired me to get out my coffee stamps and start some coffee cards. Thank you for sharing!
