Wildflowers and Hugs.

I am again joining in with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, where we had a visit to a beautiful Pinterest page on Handpainted Jars.

I collect Nippon pieces so I was immediately drawn to this Biscuit Barrel.

To start this card I am using Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper along with my mini Misti.

I arranged the stamp placement then coloured the stamps with my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens, using the brown for the stems, a darkish green for the leaves, a lighter green for the stem surround and of course, violet for the flowers. There is no need to spritz before stamping as the pens provide enough water.

Once everything was stamped I began to pull the colour around the images. I then added the sentiment stamped in VersaFine Clair Pinecone ink, and splattered some of the Violet colour from the pens around the card.

And as I love to add my little version of my bird CC, I attached my stamped and die cut bird in yellow as she flies away from the flowers and it hides a bid I don’t like – lol!

To finish I die cut the piece using my Penny Black die and attached to a dark purple cardstock, which sets the print off nicely.

I am also posting this card at Scrap’n Stamp Canada, if you would like to view that post.

Thank you for having a look today. Following are Affiliate links to the products that I used for this card, set out with USA links listed first followed below with the Canadian links. I appreciate your support and thank you.
