Meet Wish BIG!
It is Sunday night and that means it is time for me to ready this post for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. We are to use “Fairies”. Therein was the challenge for me, I had nothing for Fairies.
So, I headed over to Lavinia Stamps and their digital section, finding this sweet image called Gazing. I knew I was going to be doing a night sky with the moon, and this would fit in perfectly.
First I die cut a circle using Nestabilities large circle die using the masking paper and masked off where my moon will be.
Before printing the digital I did the background using distress oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Broken China and Faded Jeans. I wanted to use Chipped Sapphire and was a bit stunned to find out I did not have it. Ack! I find the Faded Jeans to be dull as compared to the Chipped Sapphire, but it will work for today.
I then applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste using a Star stencil that had different sizes and set it aside to dry.
For the stamp, I printed it on Hammermill Color Copy 28lb. paper as that is all that will fit through my printer. But, it is wonderful paper and handled the printing of the stamp beautifully. And, it is thin so it ends up looking like it is stamped. I glued it on using Nuvo Adhesive.
To finish up I added Gelly Roll Clear Glaze pen to the wings, and Wink of Stella. I also added the Wink of Stella to the rocks, then stamped the sentiment in my Misti using the VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne.
I hope you have enjoyed this card today and wish to thank you for visiting. Following are Affiliate links to the products I used today, minus the Chipped Sapphire ink – lol!
