Meet “Cool and Crisp”

I had a lot of fun making this card earlier today. The colours no doubt had a lot to do with it, and that I was using my new Pearl Alcohol Inks.

For this card I decided that I would not control the inks.

Starting with Yupo paper that I die cut using a Penny Black die, I added blender solution to the piece. I then dropped in the colours, starting with the darkest and moving to the lightest.

I let the inks form their own way, i.e. I did not blow nor tilt the paper. Once the inks seemed to settle I splattered the piece with blending solution, then splattered with each of the colours I used.

Using the Gold Mixative, I did more splattering, doing small and medium size splatters.

To add background interest I ran my card base through my Gemini using my Penny Black Rows of Stitches die, which leaves a pretty die cut impression.

To finish, I attached my panel to my base using fun foam. Using my mini Misti I then stamped my sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Pinecone.

This is the video that I did for this card.

I love how this turned out, and I hope you enjoy it as well. Thank you for dropping by today.
