Autumn Thank you.

The challenge this week at Splitcoaststamper is talking bricks.

I am working today with Arches Cold Press Watercolour Paper in 300lb. I have to say, I very much enjoyed working with this paper, it is a bit different to paint on, but as with all good paper, it makes the process easy.

To start I made a stencil from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die that I have, then watercoloured the bricks, using the paper as the mortar.

Using the leaf stamps from Concord and 9th Songbird stamp set I stamped the leaves across the top, using VersaFine Clair Pinecone, like they are hanging from branches of a tree. I did some masking as I went along then watercoloured with the Nuvo Aqua Pens.

In the background of the leaves I added greens and yellows, filtering down the card with the yellow.

I am happy to say I managed to fit my bird CC on this card, perched on the top of the wall of course.

To finish I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. I used Scorpal tape to attach the panel to my dark brown card base, as it needs a heavy duty tape given the weight of the paper.

I enjoyed making this card, and enjoyed stretching my Concord and 9th stamp set.

Following are Affiliate Links to the products I used for today’s card, at no cost to you. I have listed both Canadian and American links, with Canadian first, then next to it the USA links.
