Thanksgiving Leaves.

This card did not go as planned, but that is okay, I can still make the one that I had in mind.

For the background I used my watercolour palette, with Yellows, Oranges and Reds, layering the colours until I was happy with the look. I die cut the background panel, then heat embossed the leaves with white embossing powder.

Here is where things changed, lol. Alas, I die cut several leaves from different sets and watercoloured with the same paints, except for the large solid Maple Leaf where I used Distress Inks in Red Barn and Mustard Seed.

I ended up needing a circle, so I die cut one using my deckled circle die and painted it with my watercolour palette colours, heat embossed the sentiment and attached it to my card using foam squares.

For my watercolour, the background has a base of DS Cadmium Light Hue, as does the circle. The the other colours were added wet on wet to blend. There are 3 layers of colours.

Once I was done with the watercolouring I went back over the pieces and the background with Daniel Smith Lemon Yellow, which brightens up the colours of the layers.

Using Nuvo glue I attached some of the leaves, and added a few with foam squares.

I almost forgot to mention that I did the inside of the card using Winnie & Walters The Big Bold Seasons which I stamped with VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip Red and Pinecone. I also attached a couple more of the Maple Leaves.

To finish my card I added a few Nuvo Crystal Drops along with Midas Touch Shimmering Pen to the leaves. I truly wish you could see how pretty the shimmer is.
