Framed Thoughts.

The Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers is asking for Get Well cards, and this is my sample for the challenge. I a not fond of using “Get Well”, I much prefer to let people know I am thinking of them.

The Frame I did awhile ago, a day I spent time doing some foiling. I thought it would be perfect for my card, and it is also the Frame that came with the Foil Press.

Cutting a piece of Neenah cardstock in white I did a bit of stencilling using A Colorful Life Design Stencil and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink, keeping the stencilling within the framed area.

Using a Sweet’n Sassy stamp I masked off the bottom of my card and stamped the flower using VersaFine Clair ink in Fantasia. The picture makes it appear as black, but it is purple, as is the sentiment.

To attach the frame I used foam squares and attached the sentiment strip to either side of the frame and finished up with a bit of sparkle in the centre of a few of the flowers.

Thanks for joining me today. For those shopping at A Colorful Life Designs, remember to use my discount code of Kia10.

  1. The foil pressed frame is so elegant and I love that you tilted the frame, Kia! The purple flower silhouette pops against the yellow pebble pattern. This is perfect for the occasion, conveying that you care about the receiver. Thanks for sharing this beauty at CAS Mix Up!
