Berry Bramble Joyful.

This is a long post today as I have included a picture tutorial for this card. I hope you enjoy the post, and the card.

As I was working I was recording the process, but it ended up being far too long at 36 minutes, even after editing. Hence I decided on the picture tutorial.

To start I am using Arches Cold Press 140lb. watercolour paper, Distress Oxide inks in Black Soot and Iced Spruce. Starting with the Iced Spruce in the centre I sponged on the colours adding the Black Soot around the edges.

Here I am painting on Dr. Phil Martins Bleed Proof white ink, and adding splatters of water around the edges of the card.

Using Ink on 3 Fade Out ink I stamped the Berry Bramble, doing a couple of passes to ensure I had good coverage of the image. I then proceeded to go over the berries using my Aqua Brush and Bleach, then added fresh water.

Once the berries were dry I proceeded to colour the stamp transferring the colour via the Misti door. I first added Fresh Green to a few of the berries, then moved on to the Apple Red, and added in shading with Matador Red.

I added several layers of colour to the berries. I then wanted to add berries to the bottom of the card and as I am making a 3.5 x 8.5 card I decided to rig up my Stay-tion with my mini Misti, which I lined up to the lines on the Stay-tion, then affixed my stamp to the outside of the door, coloured the image and swung the door over.

It worked out perfectly as I coloured, I ensured the Misti remained in the same spot.

Once I was done with the colouring, I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Ink in Nocturne, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Using white acrylic paint I added splatter the card front with my fan brush and waited for the paint to dry before the next step.

Ensuring all was dry I then applied a thin layer of Micro Glaze and proceed to buff the panel with a clean cloth. I find the glaze enhances the colours, which I love for cards such as this.

And to finish I attached the panel to a black card base and added Nuvo Glitter Drops in Silver.
