Sweet Peas Hello Friend.
Today I am over on the Scrap’n Stamp blog with this card, which is super easy to make.
All you need is a stencil, some distress inks/oxide and paper. I have used distress oxides for this card.
First up is to emboss the stencil impression into your paper by placing the stencil on the back of the cardstock.
Here I am using using Neenah Solar Crest 110lb white cardstock.
The sandwich I used for the plates is 1) base cutting plate, 2) plastic shim plate, 3) embossing mat, 4) stencil facing up with cardstock good side up, 5) the clear cutting plate, 6) shims. I used 2 shims of 80lb cardstock.
Once your piece has been through the Gemini Jr. you can see the amount of embossing from the stencil and adjust accordingly.
To colour my stencil I placed the stencil over the embossed image on the front, and using my Life Changing brushes applied the colours, being Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Twisted Citron and bits of Mowed Lawn.
I then went around the edges with the Mustard Seed.
To compliment the flowers I used Coral/Orange for my card base.
The sentiment is from a Gina K Design set called You Make Me Smile which I stamped with Tulip Red VersaFine Clair Ink and matted with coordinating cardstock, attached using foam squares.
To finish I added the Nuvo Crystal Drops.
