Magic of the Holidays.

I am up on the Scrap’n Stamp blog today with this card and I would like to also share it with you.

And I am also hosting a challenge at Splitcoaststampers for Falliday Fest today. My challenge is to use Vellum in your design, so, I have kept with that theme for this card.

For this card I am using Gina K. Designs Winter Flower which I stamped with VersaMark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder on vellum paper and die cut.

As I wanted the cut close to the embossed edges of the flower, so I fussy cut off the small amount left from the die cutting.

On my card base I brushed on squeezed lemonade and twisted citron distress inks, using a light touch to act as a halo of sorts around where my flower would be.

Using Neenah cardstock I die cut a partial panel piece using my Penny Black die, then using the die cut flower and my Spellbinders Platinum machine I cut a partial flower piece. With my scissors I then cut in from the edges to meet the flower on a diagonal.

As the card stock flower is larger than my fussy cut flower, it acts as a flower matting piece, which I brushed with the same inks I used for the background.

Laying the pieces side by side I splattered both using my Midas Touch Nuvo Aqua Shimmering Pen. I then stamped the sentiment.

To put the card together I added foam squares to the back of the cut flower piece and affixed it to my card base. Using Vellum tape I added the vellum flower, along with a few sequins and gems.

I thank you for visiting today. Following are Affiliate Links to the products I have used for this card, which include USA and Canadian Links.
