This is Stars Shining.
This was such a fun card to make this morning. I actually made a few stars, but as I am playing in the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, I picked the blue star for my card.
To start this card, first up was to do the star using this tutorial. I did not have any white napkins, all of mine have designs,so I wondered if I could use paper towels.
Knowing they absorb water more than a napkin does, I thought I would use six layers instead of the eight, and it worked out good. Next stop is to get white napkins!
Die cutting a Star and using my Kuretake Pearl watercolours I painted the star using the blue and white paints and while still damp I sprinkled on a bit of white glitter.
I then stencilled a piece of 5.25 x 4 inch piece of cardstock and using A Colorful Life stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Blueprint Sketch, then topped with Salty Ocean.
Attaching the stencilled piece to my card base, I then stamped the Joyful sentiment and glued on the star.
I really like the mix of textures and the patterns. I hope you will give it a try.
