This is Floral Cup.
It is a bright and sunny, yet chilly day in my neck of the woods, but the perfect day to make this card.
When I saw this die in the store at Scrap’n Stamp I immediately thought about china cups filled with tea. I am of the age when we picked out a pattern of China at the age of 16 and for the foreseeable future, we would receive the pieces as gifts.
I prepped a piece of white cardstock with my Perfect Crafting Pouch and die cut the Coffee Cup.
I kept the stamped cup in my Misti while I coloured so I would be able to ensure it was in the same place when I wanted to heat emboss as it was not up against a corner or edge.
Using my Gina K. Design floral stamp I stamped the image on white cardstock using Antique Linen Distress Ink and proceed to colour with Copic Markers.
The marker colours I used for the leaves are Yoo Barium Yellow, YG03 Yellow Green, and YG17 Grass Green.
For the flowers I started with Y00 Barium Yellow, Y13 Lemon Yellow, Y18 Lightning Yellow and ending with R22 Light Prawn.
Once all my colouring was done I stamped the flowers again using embossing ink and heat embossed with vintage gold embossing powder. I then masked off the cup and inked up the handle using the embossing ink and heat embossed the handle with the same vintage gold embossing powder.
On white card stock I brushed and blended on some Distress Oxide ink in Squeezed Lemonade. I then splattered the inked area with Midas Touch Shimmering Pen and attached the panel to my yellow card base.
Using foam squares I attached the coffee cup. I then prepped where I wanted my sentiment with my Perfect Crafting Pouch and stamped the sentiment using Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade.
