This is Winter Snow.

Hello all, welcome to the Scrap’n Stamp White Christmas Blog Hop.

From what I have seen I am sure you will be inspired today. The team of talented ladies have wonderful cards to share with you.

First I would like to share the details of today’s hop. We have a $50.00 Gift Certificate for the winner of the White Christmas Hop. The name will be drawn from the commenters on each of the design team blogs, so be sure to comment. The winner will be announced on December 18th on the Scrap’n Stamp Blog.

We also have this free gift available, while supplies last. There is no minimum purchase but you do pay for shipping.

Back to my card. Even though we are celebrating a White Christmas, I made my card in what I call Winter White. I wanted texture in the paper, so I used Arches Cold Press 140lb water colour paper.

My card is 5.5″ square, with the panel being 5″ square. I attached the panel using fun foam and and Be Creative tape.

For added texture I die cut some snowflakes using the same paper and attached them to the card where they would be partially under my large snowflake. I then splattered the card using the gold ink.

I then die cut the large snowflake from the Arches paper and another snowflake from Mixed Media Paper. I painted the mixed media snowflake using gold pearl ink which has a sparkle that is difficult to see in the pictures.

Using the negative little hearts left over from the large snowflake, and attaching them around the card, I then painted them with my Midas Touch Shimmering Pen.

Next I glued the 2 large snowflakes together, keeping them off centre to create the shadow look, with the gold painted snowflake and using a foam square. On the edges of the snowflake without shadow I added more of the Midas Touch Shimmering Pen.

To finish up I die cut 2 of the Believe sentiment pieces, gluing them together and attaching to the card. I also added more from the Shimmering Pen.

I do love the way this turned out and I hope you enjoy it as well. I thank you for joining us for the hop today. Following is the list of those participating in today’s hop., followed by Affiliate Links to the products I used for my card, at no cost to you. Up next is Susan.
