Snowflakes Believe

This card is my sample card for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, which is to include snowflakes on your card.

As I wanted to keep it Clean and Simple I tried to leave as much white space as possible. Using painters tape I masked off the edges of the top panel.

Using Pearlescent Embossing Paste I mixed it together Distress Oxide re-inkers in Faded Jeans and a bit of Cracked Pistachio to get the colour I wanted. I only have 4 re-inkers and these two colours are part of that. Storage is an issue for me!

I could not find my long Dreamweaver Stencil tool which I prefer to use for this, so had to use a shorter knife. I see I had a few blemishes, which I don’t get when I use the Dreamweaver tool.

I set the piece aside to dry and die cut 3 of the Believe dies in white cardstock. Using the Nuvo glue I glued the 3 pieces together then painted the top one with Wink of Stella in Silver.

Once my stencil panel was dry I attached it to a Neenah card stock base and glued on the believe die sentiment. To finish up I added a few crystal gems.

Remember to use my discount code, Kia10 when shopping at A Colorful Life Design.
