This is Winter Hearts.
I had so much fun making this card with this cute as can be image from Penny Black called Bundled Buddies.
I am making it for my friends granddaughter. who will love it, I am sure.
The background is made using Shimmer Powder. If you have not used Shimmer Powder before I hope you will give it a try. It works like Color Burst products, except there is a most beautiful shimmer left once dry.
To do my background piece done with total coverage, on my desktop I spread out some plastic wrap, sprinkle in the Shimmer Powder and spritz with water. I then put my paper in and make sure it is covered. I heat dry it and give it a second dip to add more colour and texture to the paper, which is Bristol Smooth paper here.
The top piece, also Bristol Smooth, I sprinkled some of the powder keeping it controlled and spritzed where needed to achieve a nice pattern.
Using the top piece, once dry I stencilled over the piece using The Crafters Workshop Snowflakes Stencil and Transparent Gloss Texture Paste, which added more shimmer and interest, which you can see in the picture below. Look at the top right corner first, then you will see it throughout the panel.
Once dry I attached the two pieces together on an angle and added to my card base using fun foam. I die cut the snowflakes and cut a few in half, sticking them under the foam and the large one on the top.
I then stamped my image on Fabriano Hot Press water colour paper and water coloured using the Shimmer Powders. I added several layers of colour, drying between each application. I then cut her out and attached her using foam squares.
I die cut the Heart and painted it with the Shimmer Powders as well. Once dry I added Glossy Accents to the corner and sprinkled with WOW Embossing Glitter in Midas Touch along with a couple of gems and glued it to the larger Snowflake.
To do her face I used Copics in E00 and E51 and added R20 to her cheeks.
To finish off I painted a piece of Bristol Smooth and painted with a light coat of Shimmer Mist, then stamped the piece with the sentiment using Atelier Marilyn Red ink and attached the strip to the top of the card.
For the inside I again did the panel using the Shimmer Powder using the Saran. For the top piece I am using Penny Black’s Snowflake Frame and sprinkled it with colour and spritzing with water. I then stamped with the sentiment from Little Charmer and tucked in a half snowflake to finish.
I have entered this card to the Craft Stamper Magazine Take It Make It Challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed this card today as much as I enjoyed making it. Following are Affiliate Links to the products both USA and Canada.
