All That Glitters
You may remember I used this stencil on my Sun Burst card the other day, using it in green as an extension of the leaves from my flower. Today I wanted to use some Glitter Paste, but when I opened the jar it was hard as rock candy!
So, like all crafters I made my own glitter paste and it worked out for my card. First up I sponged heavily some Distress Oxide in Blueprint Sketch to my 100lb card stock in white.
Once the blueprint piece was dry I used a piece of dryer sheet and wiped it across the piece.
I then mixed white glitter into a large scoop of Nuvo Glacier Paste and mixed it up well, then applied it with my palette knife through the stencil over the Blueprint Sketch piece, then sprinkled more of the white glitter over the piece, taped off the excess and set it aside to dry.
The photo below shows the shimmer the card has, which I think is very pretty.
Using my Gemini Jr and Tonic Studios Frosted Silver Mirror cardstock I die cut the hugs die.
For my base I used Gina K Design In the Navy heavy weight card stock. I then cut a piece of white card stock and attached it to my base to be used as matting, then added the dry stencilled piece.
I added a mix of sequins and gems and glued on the sentiment to finish.
