For You Floral.

I have just received this beautiful set from Penny Black called Banner Blooms and I could not wait to play.

I am also playing in the Colour Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today. Following are the colours from the challenge thread.

These colours, Pool Party, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Orange come from Stampin’ Up, so I used colours as close to these as I had, which are Make Art Garden Patina for the Pool Party, and a mix of Atelier Bee Sting Yellow and Marilyn Red to make the other two colours.

Earlier this week I was organizing my stamps and listing in my system with pictures and came across the Penny Black Melange stamp that I used for my background today. I had never used it before, and rather than stencilling today, I thought this stamp would make for a great background, and it brought in one of the required colours. On white card stock I stamped using the Garden Patina and spritzed the stamp before stamping.

I then die cut the piece with Penny Black’s Stitched Stackers Rectangle Die.

Next in my mini Misti I arranged and stamped the Banner Blooms and stamped using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne. I then water coloured, again using the colours as noted above, including the Garden Patina for leaves and accessory plants.

To highlight the Garden Patina further I added Zig Clean Color Brush in Turquoise Green #042.

At the base of the flowers I added in Distress Ink Abandoned Coral ink for shading.

I attached my Melange piece to my card base and arranged the flowers and leaves, gluing on some and using foam squares in various heights for the others. To finish up I added a few sequins.
