Meet Heart of Love.
This card is in keeping with the Valentine theme I have been doing the last few days. A new to me die from Poppy Stamps is the star of this card.
For this card I am using Poppy Stamps Graceful Heart Frame, 120lb white cardstock, Fabriano Hot Press Watercolour paper, Colour Burst in Fuchsia, Lemon Yellow and Alizarin Crimson, Gold Paint, Scor-pal tape, Nuvo Adhesive, Nuvo Aqua Flow in Apple Red.
First I did my Color Burst background. I am using Fabriano Hot Press 140lb watercolour paper along with the Color Burst colours I mentioned above. Once I dried the piece I splattered it with gold paint and the Apple Red Nuvo Aqua Flow pen, and when that dried I spritzed the piece with a mixture I made of Perfect Pearls and water, for a beautiful sheen.
Using 120lb white cardstock I die cut the frame a couple of times, I painted the heart of the bottom piece with gold paint, and when I glued them together I shifted the heart only a tad for it to show.
I attached the white die cut to the Color Burst background, then attached it all to my white card base. I die cut the Love sentiment from Gold Metallic cardstock and attached it using foam squares. I don’t like seeing the white of the foam squares so I painted around the edges with the gold paint.
