Happy Spring.

Today it is a sunny day, but incredibly quiet. Normally I would hear the cars in the distance, but these days there is not the sounds that once were. It is actually very pleasant.

To celebrate the sun I decided I wanted orange, and I went with different shades of oranges in the Distress Oxide range. You cannot see it all however as I covered up the middle colour mostly, it is just peeking on the left side of the card.

I used the lightest colour on the die cut circle portion along with my Hemstitch die from Spellbinders. This die is applied to my card base, while the solid portion is affixed using fun foam, giving dimension to the card. I stamped my sentiment on the inner portion using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne.

For the texture on the card front I used my stencil from A Colorful Life Design and sprayed it with a fair amount of Perfect Pearls, waited a bit and placed my paper towel over it to soak up the balance.

To do the tulips I stamped in my mini Misti using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne, then ran the piece through my Scan’n Cut, which cut the outer edges of the tulips. I finished up using my Fiskars craft knife cutting some of the interior pieces.

When all was in place, I styled the tulips, glued the first one down, and used foam squares for the top one. I then added Nuvo Crystal Drops to each of the squares die cut from the Hemstitch die, and finished with a few gems.

I hope you enjoy this card today, and I thank you for visiting.
