Just for you.

Yesterday I brought you Waffle Flowers new Tulip stamp set, and today I am sharing their new Iris set. There is a pot of Lilies in the set as well, but I bought the set for this smaller stamp, which I can see using a lot.

I started by stencilling a piece of cardstock with Opaque Texture Paste in white, and set it aside to dry.

For a change I used my Make Art Blendable inks to watercolour. I loved how they reacted and how they went on, so smooth and nice.

I used Poppy, Buttercup and Leaf Green for the leaves and flowers. To do the leaves I put down a layer of the buttercup and let dry, then came back with the Leaf Green. The flowers were done by putting down the Buttercup and mixing in the Poppy. I did 2 layers for each flower and leaf.

To colour the stamens I used the Orange Blossom with a touch of Acorn. I also went over the Stamens with some Wink of Stella.

I again used my Scan’n Cut to cut out the flowers as I did not buy the dies. Using my stylist I styled both of the flowers. I die cut the leaf die from Ranger Watercolour paper, as the texture of the paper adds a lot to the look when die cut.

To put it all together I cut the stencilled card piece and attached to my card base. I glued in the leaf die using Nuvo Adhesive, and attached each of the flowers with foam squares. I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock with versamark ink and heat embossed in white, gluing it to the card with Nuvo Adhesive.

I finished with a few gems in a lighter yellow shade.
