This is “Sunny Hello”.
Are you in the mood for some stencils? I was this morning, and then I remembered about the CAS March 2020 Stencil challenge, which is to use heat embossing. I will enter this card for this challenge.
Yes, there is heat embossing on this card, it is on the entire card panel, which is something I have only done using other techniques. I was going to leave the stencil in place and just heat emboss the colours, then decided I would do the whole card and I really like the results.
You can see in the picture above the gloss on the card. I have two layers of clear embossing powder on this.
To start my card I first die cut my panel with my favourite Penny Black rectangle die. Using a stencil from A Colorful Life Design I began sponging on the colour using Wendy Vecchi Make Art inks in Sunflower, Poppy and Carnation Red.
A reminder when shopping at A Colorful Life Design to use my discount code Kia10.
Once I completed the colour I then covered the panel with VersaMark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, completing two layers of heat embossing.
Using a white card base I attached the card panel to fun foam using scor-pal tape, then to my card base.
I did some sentiments earlier this morning using my Gemini Foil Press machine. I thought this pale peach colour worked perfectly with my card.
You too may like the softer shades of hot foil as I do. I find them difficult to get here in Canada, and even in the States. Couture Creations make some pretty pale foils in matte finish which I found at Craft Stash in the UK.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s card and wish to thank you for visiting today.
