Meet Wildflowers & Hugs
Today I thought I would make a card using a stencil and stamp set, but to change it up I am using acrylic paints.
These are such fun colours which are from Vicki Boutin’s All the Good Things Collection. The paints all have fun names, such as the colours I used today Blue Hawaiian, Sugared Strawberry and Crushed Pineapple.
Using cardstock I first did the stencilling using the Blue Hawaiian paint and a 1/2 inch dry flat paintbrush. I did not pick up a lot of paint each time, which kept the covering light. Once it was dry I die cut using my Wonky Rectangles.
In my Misti I stamped the floral images with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and heat embossed using clear embossing powder and die cut using the coordinating dies.
I also stamped the stencilled piece with the sentiment, again using the Nocturne Ink and heat embossing with the clear embossing powder.
On the flowers I painted using the Sugared Strawberry and Crushed Pineapple paint colours. I added a bit of texture to the petals using the edge of my brush.
To finish the card I added fun foam to the back of the stencilled panel using Scor-pal tape and attached it to my card base. I then glued down the flower stem and styled the flowers before either gluing on or attaching with foam squares.
I love the bright and happy colours making it a perfect card to send out to a friend to give a bit of happy.
