Hello again. Do you ever have a yearning that you need to use a certain image. I was like that this morning, I only knew I wanted to use this adorable Bunny from Penny Black, and it has been a very long time since I have used my Copic markers too, so today was the day.
And I am also joining in with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, which took us to a cool spray paint site called Colorshot.com. I picked this picture for my inspiration piece.
For the background using Arches cold press watercolour paper I spritzed the piece with water, then dropped in colours of green, using May Green, Sap Green and Turquoise. I did a loose background as I wanted the look to be blurred. Once finished, I set it aside to dry.
Moving on to the stamp, using Hammermill cardstock, which I am smitten with I must admit, I stamped the image with Memento Ink and proceeded to colour. The bunny is done with E00, E40 and RV000. The flower is Y0000, YG03, YG17, RV000, RV10, RV13 and RV14. For the “Hey” sentiment I used YG07 and topped with BG11.
On the watercolour panel I splattered using Nuvo Midas Touch Shimmering Pen. It is beautiful IRL, with the tiny splatters showing through the panel die, and some taking on the colours of the flower. I so wish you could see it.
I also added Nuvo Glimmer Pen to the nose and the bottom of the feet, then die cut the image.
To put it all together, I glued the frame to my watercolour background and attached all to my card base. I styled the bunny and flower and attached with foam squares, then glued the 3 “hey” die cuts together, with the coloured one on the top and attached to the card with glue, then finished with a scattering of gems.
I had a lot of fun with this card, and I hope you enjoy it as well, and I thank you for visiting my blog today.
