I am up on the Scrap'n Stamp Blog with this card today.
We have been hosting different techniques all month long over at Scrap'n Stamp and the technique I am sharing with you today is "Cling Wrap Background". It is called a background as that is what it is used for mostly, however I just call it Cling Wrap technique as you can use it for just about anything.
To change it up a bit, I am using Distress Oxide Reinkers in Cracked Pistachio, Worn Lipstick, Faded Jeans and Fossilized Amber and spritzed the inks with a mixture of Perfect Pearls, giving a beautiful shimmer. I also love the moody colours and textures that happened with these inks, seems to suit the times.
For the Dancing Leaves I used the Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber. When mixed the orange colour appears.
Be careful when you do the flip - you can get it all over yourself if you don't. I love the flared ink in my card, which happens when the piece is turned over.
I used foam squares between each layer of the leaves to prop the top level up. The sentiment is die cut twice, glued on the left and foam squares on the right. The sentiment also has Nuvo Shimmer Pen applied.
Try different inks, use what you have on hand.
Here are a few cards I have done using this technique with different media, Ahoy , From Me to You , You are Awesome.
I hope you will give this challenge a try and upload to our Facebook Challenge page, so the team can see it along with the hashtag #SNSCHALLENGE. You only have a couple of days left to play along.
