Well, what can I say? This card came about from a technique that my friend Karen Dunbrook shared at Splitcoaststampers called Scrape Painting. Clearly Karen has more success with this technique than I.
I am using Vicki Boutin Acrylic Paints in Juicy Pear, Cotton Candy and Blue Hawaiian, all of which are fun colours.
First you add dots of paint over the card front until you have 9 to 12 spots of colour. I think I had 12 dots of colour.
When doing my card I used a plastic scraper which I have listed below to make it easier. But anything that allows you to do the circle in one swoop would work.
My problem came into play when my pet bird CC decided she liked the colours and wanted to join in on the fun. Hmm ... she messed up my circle. Alas, I still like it.
Once all the paint was dry in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment, which is from Impression Obsession, using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne. Love that ink.
To finish up I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in the blue, yellow and green to the card.
Thanks so much for dropping by today. Following are Affiliate Links for the products that I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
Gorgeous background!
