It is a beautiful day in my neck of the woods, and I hope it is in yours too.
Today I am posting my card that I have done for the Scrap'n Stamp blog, using a new to me stamp from Picket Fence Studios called Ponchatoula Strawberries.
First in my original Misti I stamped the image using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne.
To watercolour I used my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens dispensing the liquid into my palette dish and picking up with my watercolour brush. To tone down the colour I would dilute the colour with water. I also mixed the colours to get the look I wanted. For my card I used the Yellow, Mango, Dark Pink and Light Pink, Greens and of course, Red.
The leaves were done first, with a layer of light yellow, then the fresh green. I then did the strawberries, with a layer of the light yellow, some with a layer of the mango, then the pink and finally the red, adjusting with the water as I went.
On the flowers I used the light pink along with the mango in the flower centre. Once all was finished I water coloured the outside area with the mango, adjusting the depth of colour with water.
I attached the watercolour panel to a black card base, and added a few yellow gems. I then die cut the hellow shadow from white vellum, and the hello die was cut twice from the black cardstock and glued together.
I have a few other ideas for this stamp set, which I will bring you in the next few weeks. For now I hope you have enjoyed this card today.
