It has been one of those mornings. Everything I was doing was taking a lot of time, so I didn't get over the Splitcoaststampers until just before noon to have a peak at the Inspiration Challenge today.
We had a visit to Hygge and West where I found this Nursery with such pretty colours.
Today felt like a day for some Ken Oliver Color Burst powders. It seems a long time since I have used them. I picked Chartreuse and Fuchsia to use along with Fabriano Hot Press 140lb. watercolour paper.
First I spritzed the paper before shaking out some colour. It helps it to not fly around when you do this, and I can also see if I am going to need more powders.
For today's card I did not want a saturation of colour, just a light look is what I was going for. Needless to say the turquoise was a surprise as it is is stronger than it would normally appear, but its all good. When finished I set it aside to dry naturally.
I then die cut the pieces from Neenah cardstock using Pink Fresh Studio dies called Botanical Circle Dies. These are unusual, which is why I liked them. They offer several different ways to use them, like the die I used for yesterday's card.
Once my watercolour background was dry I attached it to my Neenah cardbase. I then glued on the die cut Botanical pieces using Nuvo Adhesive.
In my mini Misti I arranged the placement of the stamps and stamped using VersaFine Clair Ink in Glamorous. I then removed the "beautiful" word and stamped using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne.
To finish up I added drops by Nuvo in different colours. An easy quick card is done for the challenge.
